Is it worth it to buy From The Vault: https://youtu.be/0gKuH5M0Q_I
Many Magic The Gathering Players Ask The Question, Is It Worth It To Buy From The Vault: Angels?
From the Vault is a very limited collector’s set released once per year. These sets contain a collection of 15 foil Magic cards from throughout Magic’s history, all linked by a theme, many with alternate and unique art.
The From The Vault series is intended to be very limited, and aimed more at collectors than the average player. So is From the vault angels worth it if you can find a copy for sale? Let’s take a look!
This video will focus entirely on the specific From The Vault set: Angels. If you’d like to see a detailed analysis that ecompases the From The Vault series as a whole, analyzing several older sets, then you can see my previous video here.
While some stores will indeed sell FTV: Angels for their MSRP of $34.99, the incredibly low supply of this product and the incredibly high demand and value almost always drives up the price. Which is why when considering whether or not this product is worth it to you, a very important factor, if you can find one for sale at all, is how much you’ll be paying.
Let’s take a moment to look at this from a purely financial perspective. As of the filming of this video, which is the release date for From The Vault Angels, to purchase this box on eBay or Amazon would cost 65-70 dollars, including shipping.
To purchase the non-foil, regular versions of these cards individually would cost you approximately $109.24, and that’s for the non-foil, non-premium versions of these cards.
So from a strictly financial standpoint, if you needed to buy most of if not all of these cards individually anyway, you’d get a better value buying this premium set, if you can get it for about 65-70 dollars.
But are these cards you’d want to purchase? Do they see play, and if so, in what formats? Well, that’s obviously a question that will differ from individual to individual, based on your needs and desires, be you a Commander player looking to bling out your Angel deck, or perhaps a collector looking for the exclusive art pieces in this set. Which bring me to a very important point to consider about From The Vault sets…
