Now, as a fanatic player and devotee of Merfolk in every format, I anticipate a natural immunity to the ice water I am about to be doused with. That’s why I pledge now to give $100 to ALS instead of just 10. Also, because we are in a drought and because so many people do not have access to clean drinking water, I am also donating $100 to water.org, a wonderful charity organization committed to helping provide clean drinking water to those who do not have access.
In my local Magic community,for always providing stores where there’s always Magic events going on, I’m going to nominate store owner Mike Fields of Anime Imports in Pacifica, and store owner D of Versus Games in San Francisco.
And though I don’t know them personally, I’d like to nominate a few people within the larger Magic community whom I admire greatly.
For all her amazing, positive contributions to the Magic community by founding and running The Lady Planeswalkers Society, Tifa Robles, and finally the embodiment of everything awesome and fun and enjoyable about Magic: The Gathering, from Loading Ready Run, Friday Nights, and Tap Tap Concede: Graham Stark, Paul Saunders, and Kathleen De Vere.
