The only things certain in life are Death, taxes, and white weenie at Magic the Gathering Tournaments. The following deck is no exception and at times can be just as painful as the first two. If slow grindy gameplay is your thing, look no further! For the main goal of this deck is to make your opponent’s spells impossible to cast as it beats down with 2/2 bears.

The main function is to tax your opponent to death, ideally by dropping a turn 1 aethervial off a basic plains, then turn 2 dropping either a thalia or a rishadan port to slow down your opponent significantly. Turn three let’s us vial in a mother of runes to ensure your Thalia sticks around around, as well as any of our many other hateful bears. Vial activations mean that your creatures won’t get countered, Mother means creatures get protection from the color of your choice, and Thalia and port mean most of our opponent’s spells cost more than they should.
